Yeah, I dig it.

The girls have left their mark on this one a million times over. Still can't get rid of the pen L took to it. Aw, well that's because we use it every day.

  1. It's very cool to get a look at the whole quilt making process - from the inspiration to the final product. I love how it turned out.

  10. I know this post is from forever ago, but I am dying to make one of these quilts! Did you buy enough fabric to cut the entire length of one strip from one piece, or did you piece smaller colored strips together somehow? What size did this finish? Thanks!!

    1. No, the strips are pieced together. And I think it finished around 54" x 70"

    2. Thank you! I sent an email too, I wasn't sure if you'd see the comment - so just ignore that! Did you just piece all of them at the same spot, like in the middle? Or was it more random? I'm wondering if it'd be best to have two seams so the strips are divided in thirds? Thanks again!

    3. Seams were down the middle on some and other the seam was on the left or right side. I wasn't too picky about all that, but I knew I didn't want them all down the center.

  11. Could you tell me what type of batting you used? This quilt looks so light and flowy. I'm just wondering if it is cotton, or polyester? or maybe you have a favorite brand of batting to use for quilts? Thanks a ton!

    1. Hi, I used warm and natural cotton quilt batting. I purchased mine at Joanns (so I can use my coupon). It is available in bright white and cream. I always buy the bright white.
