New Year's Giveaway!

This contest is now closed. The winner is JOY! Congrats! Hope you enjoy your new bag!

Lucky for all of you my error is now going to be your gain. I wanted a new tote and when I found this fabric I told the cutter the wrong yardage. It was too late to fix, so I ended up buying two pieces. With the smaller piece I made this cute little tote--to give away.

If you would like a chance to win this tote, then leave a comment about your Crafting Resolution for 2009. My resolution has to be to reduce, reduce, reduce the mess in my sewing room. That means finishing a bunch of projects and trying really hard not to buy any more fabric for a very long time.

You'll be able to comment and link through January 7th and we'll draw on January 8th (or 9th).

MULTI-COLORED POLKA-DOT MINI TOTE

Finished dimensions 11" H x 8" W x 4" D
Hot pink nylon straps 16" long
Front pocket fully lined
Lime green lining
White snap closure

Fully washable and dryable!

Good Luck!

And Happy Crafting Resolution Making to You!

  2. Oh, I have many resolutions! I would like to get all of my geneology that I inherited in a book/scrapbook of somesort. I would also like to put all the gowns and dresses I inherited in shadow boxes or together some way (suggestions??) and my MIL is suppose to be teaching me how to crochet and I have been slowly learning how to quilt with my mom. To name just a few....:-)

  3. OK that tote is really cute. I hope I CAN win. You've done a great job on it. Resolutions: Redo my pattern file box, change around sewing room ~ moving machine closer to window, and get ALL unfinished projects ~Finished!

  4. I never win these things but this year I would like to learn how to quilt. I already have the material for my first project!

  5. My crafting resolutions are: actually do some crafting(!), paint remaining rooms, save for a sewing machine, organize craft supplies...oh, and I'm trying to remember how to crochet since J wants to learn.

  6. My creative goal is first to move my creative space upstairs to my bedroom instead of in my living room. I want to make a space where my sewing machine can stay out for some sewing projects/scrapbooking. I'm tired of the kids getting into my stuff and my work table being a big heaping table -- it will probably be a big heaping table upstairs but then no one will see it but me and the hubby. The bag is super cute!

  7. I can't win either, but my resolution is to keep my sewing room clean and also to finish a quilt top a month--ambitious but doable! I am not saying it has to be a big quilt, just something...quilt related!

  8. One resolution I want to do the most is to better organize my storage spaces. That might take most this year to accomplish. Your bag is lovely and so cheerful.

  9. I'm such a copycat, I also need to organize my material stash and crafting space, as well as quit purchasing fabric and continue creating projects now, my stash is so big I am running out of room! I suppose to really get the projects done that I had originally purchased the material for would be good too. I sometimes don't make the project right away and then the material sits and sits unless I use it for something else. Yup, that's what I need to focus on for 2009! Cute tote by the way!

  10. My resolution is to make more American Girl clothes for my girls to use because we have LOTS of patterns but only a few things actually made. And to keep up with my scrapbooks. And to organize it all better, of course. I really love how DONE scrapbook pages keep everything organized and how much extra is in the trash--cropped pieces, stuff you don't end up keeping, etc. And not related to scrapping...but when will we see you, Em??? :)

  11. Pick me! My resolution this year is to work on completing all the kits that are stacked in the studio. There are 15 that I've counted and that's the plan!

  12. My resolution is to get all my craft projects done. I have about 7 or 8 charm packs left for fun table runners (one for every month). I have a baby blanket that I started 2 1/2 years ago that is now almost done :) I also have fiber art technique kits that I bought from a local fiber art store that are begging for attention. I also have six friends who are pregnant and I want to quilt baby blankets for each of them. Many, many projects to complete.

  17. I want to redesign my sewing room to make it more organized and easier to craft/sew. I am also wanting to start some papercrafts... I got paper cutter for Christmas and I would like to learn some card making and such...

  18. Well, as a recent crafter (read: just started the week before Christmas to bust out at least one handmade gift for each family member!), I resolve to continue crafting. With a busy 3 year old, I have not allowed myself time to do things I enjoy. I had not sewn sign junior high home-ec class and dusted off my sewing machine...and I'm loving it!! All of the women in my family sew, so I feel it is an important tradition to continue.

  19. Cute tote!!
I posted my crafting resolutions on my blog but in short - USE MY STASH and buy only essentials. Sew SOMETHING everyday.

  20. I just love your blog..I had to say that. My crafty resolution would have to be finish before starting something new. I also want to do one creative thing a week (not necessarily time consuming). Thanks for the giveaway

  21. Sweet Tote! My Resolution is to organize my crafty area upstairs so it's not scattered everywhere, learn to use the sewing machine I was handed down, and learn to make some cute things, like baby quilts and burp cloths. Last of all I want some type of board up so I can pin up ideas to visually see them and get them done! Thanks!!!

  22. My New Year's Crafting Goals are to finish my uncompleted projects (read: 3 quilts cut out but not sewn, plus a half dozen other things), teach Eliza how to make the rag dolls and clothing I make them (so I don't have to!) and try to expand my scrapbooking beyond shoving pictures in photo albums!

  23. CJ--love your idea of sewing something every day. Since I use sewing alot as stress relief that would be great to do. Good luck with your efforts!

  28. “The desire to create is one of the deepest yearnings of the human soul. No matter our talents, education, backgrounds, or abilities, we each have an inherent wish to create something that did not exist before.
Everyone can create. You don’t need money, position, or influence in order to create something of substance or beauty.
Creation brings deep satisfaction and fulfillment. We develope ourselves and others when we take unorganized matter into our hands and mold it into something of beauty” By Dieter F. Uchtdorf
This is my goal to CREATE this year! At least one thing for every month of the year! Your blog inspires me to CREATE, I love it and the bag too! Thanks!
