August was my month for my Bee Vintage Group. I asked the ladies to make me Dresdens.
This week I did a little mock up of the blocks I've received so far. I'm excited about how it's coming together.
A dresden is one of those patterns that involves lots of pieces, so having others help you make them (in the form of a bee) is awesome! I'm not sure I'd ever tackle a whole quilt like this on my own.
I really want to turn these into a bed quilt for my daughters' room. Am I crazy? I'm kind of panicking over all the white in the background. Surely no 6 yr old could keep it clean, huh? But it would look so pretty... What to do, what to do?!

UPDATED: Finished quilt can be seen HERE.
I like it alot--even for a 6 yr. old.
ReplyDeleteMaybe with something so pretty she'll be inspired to be more clean.
oooh ~ I'm really liking it!!
ReplyDeleteWhite would be gorgeous! It would be washable, though you wouldn't want to do that too often. My youngest has a quilt with white background and it doesn't get too dirty. (Depends on what they use there room for, I guess. My girls don't play too much in their room so it doesn't get as dirty.) This is going to be such a pretty quilt!
