Confetti Quilt

The Quilt:

I decide against the black used in the inspiration and opted for charcoal
because I was feeling like it might look a little too NASCAR in quilt form.

I made it specifically for our basement and love how it all works together.
love, love, love

My little L likes to snuggle.
I had to wrestle her for it the whole time I was trying to photograph.

All the solids were purchased at JoAnn's
Binding is Ooh La La by Kathy Hall for Andover Fabrics (purchased at my local quilt shop)
The back is Bloom in gray by Paula Prass (purchased at my local quilt shop)

Finished Dimensions:
54.5" x 76.25"
same as the zig zag

****leave a comment and you'll be entered to win my extra squares.
which will NOT make a quilt that looks like this. only the colors are the same.
(I started going with an entirely different layout in the beginning and then changed my mind).
There are 46 six inch squares.

  2. That is a gorgeous quilt. I really like quilts like this that aren't overly fussy. I've got a project in the works with those same colors, so would welcome extra scraps if I was lucky enough to win!

  5. Wow, I love this quilt, and your basement! I've been wanting do a yellow, white, gray color scheme in my living room for so long but I couldn't decide to paint the walls gray or tan! I saw your basement and now I think I'm going to go with the light tan. It looks great! I would love to win your extra squares to make a throw quilt for our L.R.

  12. That turned out really nice. M. tells me that she doesn't think it looks like confetti. I had to explain it to her then she got it. It looks great down in the basement.

Can't wait to see the next one.

  23. Love the quilt, and I especially love your basement decor with all the frames! We just bought a house and I've been avoiding decorating the basement because there's this ledge along the whole one side of the room. Now I've had some inspiration!
